AquaSave Community Update

Hello AquaSavers! 🌊

We wanted to share some important updates as we move forward in this pivotal phase of our project.

First, we’d like to be fully transparent about some setbacks we’ve experienced with AquaSave. When we began this journey a year ago, we laid out a detailed roadmap with clear funding objectives to bring AquaSave to life. Unfortunately, these objectives were not met. Our initial presale was set up to provide the funding needed to industralise our devices, but unforeseen issues with our payment gateway impacted these plans significantly.

Due to the presence of cryptocurrency on our site, our original payment processor halted transactions, which led to massive refunds and caused us to miss the window for a successful presale. Since then, we’ve been actively working to integrate other payment gateways, but we have yet to receive validation from any alternative provider.

Funding Initiatives

To secure AquaSave’s future, we are actively pursuing alternative funding sources. This includes applying for public grants, and we are pleased to share that we’ve already secured a project to deploy a network of devices over the coming year. Additionally, we are participating in further public funding opportunities, joining forces with leading companies in the Web2 and Web3 sectors. These partnerships aim to support the development needed to create our final product without relying exclusively on private funding or requiring a crowdfunding or presale model.

Furthermore, we are working toward raising a pre-seed funding round. We’re leveraging our extensive network within the Web3 community, which we believe will help us achieve our funding goals by the end of this year.

Next Steps

We are currently working on a new phase for AquaSave, which includes publishing an updated roadmap in the coming weeks. This revised roadmap will outline clear milestones and timelines that align with our adjusted strategy.

We know that the closure of the presale and extended timelines for device delivery may have caused frustration. As part of our commitment to fairness, we will be issuing full refunds for all pending purchases. The refund process will begin this week, and each affected user will receive an email with detailed information about the refund. For those who made purchases during the DePIN Revolution event, please note that the company managing the purchase platform will also be reaching out shortly to facilitate your refunds.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing further announcements that will reshape AquaSave. We know that delays and unmet roadmap goals have been a concern, and we want to emphasize that AquaSave is still in its early stages. This pause is necessary to restructure the project for long-term success, allowing us to realign our strategy, set realistic goals, and ensure we can meet our commitments effectively.

We’re also working on major partnership agreements with notable institutions in the Web2 ecosystem that will directly benefit the AquaSave community. These agreements will be announced as soon as they are finalized.
